Alex has taken an around the houses approach to finding his position as tech writer for GCN. He actually started his working life as an aerospace engineer in the defence industry. After deciding that cycling needed to be more than just a spare time hobby, he took the plunge to become a mountain bike coach and guide in the Forest of Dean.

Alex loves all facets of the cycling world with a particular interest in cross country mountain biking and big adventure rides.
