On New Year’s Day we launched our 30 in 30 challenge for 2024. The idea is as simple as it sounds: complete 30 minutes of exercise every day for 30 days in January. The type of exercise you do is completely up to you. This being GCN we’d love you to get out on your bikes more, but equally you could be running, swimming, hitting the gym or practising yoga. It really doesn’t matter, as long as you’re ticking off that daily 30 minute workout goal.

To help lead the way and keep motivation high we have teamed up with indoor training platform Zwift to host daily GCN club rides in the virtual world of Watopia. That’s right, every day we will have two rides to join, one at 10:30am GMT and one at 18:30 GMT, where you’ll be able to ride with members of the GCN presenting team.

And don't worry if you're not already signed up to Zwift as they have offered riders a special 14-day free trial, which means you can check it out for free for almost half of the challenge!

The important thing to remember with these rides is that they are non-drop rides. That means that they’re suitable for everyone, whatever level of intensity you might want to ride. So no matter what happens, everyone stays together in a bunch - there are no lead outs if you’re riding really hard and no dropping if you let your pace slide a little. Which is great! Below is the schedule of who’s hosting each of the rides for the remainder of January and be sure to check out our Zwift club which we recommend doing via the companion app.

It's a good idea to log your rides so you can track your own progress. Strava is great for that and you can even join the GCN Club on Strava to see what everyone else is doing to hit their targets. Don't forget to tune into the GCN Show each Tuesday for updates on how everyone's getting on and for some additional motivation from Dan and Si.
