Ineos Grenadiers have revealed their new racing kit for 2024, which features an orange to black gradient jersey and black shorts, to be manufactured by GOBIK who will replace Bioracer as the team’s kit sponsor.

Much of the cycling world will not be surprised by the new kit, after Egan Bernal prematurely posted an image of the GOBIK jersey last week from a team camp in Mallorca.

The design is a recognisable take on the team’s jersey from 2023, featuring the orange, red and black colour scheme, with this time a vertical gradient replacing the horizontal iterations we’ve seen on previous Ineos jerseys.

The team will continue to wear Kask helmets, with the design moving more towards an orange hue for 2024. Riders were also photographed on similarly orange-tinged Pinarello bikes.

Following last week’s leak, Bioracer confirmed to that its two-year partnership with Ineos Grenadiers had ended, but GOBIK refrained from commenting prior to Wednesday’s official announcement.

The news is now official, though, and the Spanish brand, who also manufacture FDJ-SUEZ and Movistar’s kit, will produce Ineos’ racing gear for 2024, though the length of the deal is not known.

“Collaborating with a team of the level of the Grenadiers provides GOBIK the opportunity for further enhancements in product innovation and development,” a press release issued by the team read. “Direct feedback from the team’s riders, who test and race the product throughout the season in all weather conditions, will help to evolve and perfect them, and through doing so will add to GOBIK's collection.”

The team’s riders will wear kit made from “the most advanced fabrics, designed to help riders in the most extreme conditions” and the partnership has already seen the creation of three new products: the Reactive jersey, Lancer shorts and Viper gloves.

“This alliance is a great opportunity to be part of the structure that is Ineos Grenadiers. They have always been characterised by being at the forefront, both at a sporting level in the preparation of the riders and at a technological level with all the material, bicycles, accessories and of course, the apparel they will wear throughout the season,” GOBIK’s CEO and co-founder Alberto Garcia said.

“We are sure that at technical levels, in terms of aerodynamics and performance, the joint work with the team in the coming years will mean an important advancement in our products that of course will ultimately reach the end consumer.”

As the team who popularised the notion of marginal gains, Ineos’ announcement of the partnership also put particular emphasis on GOBIK’s attention to detail and technical efforts.

“From when we first met with GOBIK in Murcia we felt there was a connection, I could tell they were ready to take on the challenge,” Ineos Grenadiers’ newly-named CEO John Allert said.

“The Ineos Grenadiers’ ethos is founded upon continual improvement and pushing boundaries, disrupting the norm; to keep doing that requires partners who are willing to be aligned to that ethos and be a part of the journey, GOBIK has shown us that’s the way it operates too. The quality of the race kit has such a dramatic impact on rider performance, therefore choosing a kit partner is not something we take lightly, I’m looking forward to seeing where this collaboration takes us and them in 2024.”
