Ineos Grenadiers update their 2024 race bikes to a more simplistic two-tone affair
Along with all of the WorldTour kit releases we have seen over the past few weeks are the accompanying changes to the racing colours of each team's bikes. At a quick glance, Ineos Grenadiers appear to have kept a similar paint scheme to last season, yet upon closer inspection there is actually more that separates the two bikes.
The navy has been shipped out
The 2023 Pinarello Dogma F featured a navy blue rear end that geometrically faded into a red/orange design at the front. This navy has been replaced not only in the team's racing kit but also on the bike, with a black shade. The black travels further up the down tube and top tube before transitioning into a lighter orange tone.

The black paint paired with the reduction in orange being used is reported to save a handful grams
This change in design is more than just an aesthetic decision. It has been reported that using black paint for a greater portion of the frameset has a measure of weight saving. Although it is only a handful of grams, for the team that brought marginal gains to the WorldTour, this is surely no bad thing.
The geometric patterns that adorned the orange portion of the frame last year have also been swapped out for a simple monotone colourway. A small change to the forks is also visible with the 2024 bikes featuring a fully orange fork alongside some subtle detailing down the legs. This is in contrast to the fork last year that faded back to the navy blue at the bottom of the legs.

Fresh saddles for the team
Perched on top of the bikes is the team's latest sponsorship addition, having made the switch to Prologo saddles for 2024. The Italian brand is a favourite within the professional peloton and has now reunited with the team after originally being used by the WorldTour outfit in 2010 and 2011.

Build remains the same
As far as the gear being used on the bike is concerned things are continuing with how they were at the end of the 2023 season. Being one of Shimano’s premium WorldTour teams, they are using the full complement of Dura-ace equipment, including wheels and pedals, on top of the brand's own in-build crank-based power meter.
