At some point we’ve all been forced to take a break from training as a result of a nasty cold or flu, but how do you gauge when it’s safe to get back on the bike again? If you’re used to training every day then time out can be as much of a mental challenge as a physical one. Go back too soon, however, and you risk having to spend more time off the bike recovering.
