Improve your ability to ride short climbs with the help of the cycling training sessions in this video. These workouts are intended to take place on your road bike on a local climb but it they can also be adapted for an indoor trainer or turbo trainer.
The sessions focus on threshold, VO2 max and explosive power. You can use a powermeter, a heart rate monitor, or just a watch and your perceived effort levels.
We'd love to hear how you get on with these training sessions. Let us know down in the comments and don't forget to share this video!

Do you need cycling-specific clothing? While regular clothes work fine, cycling-specific gear really steps up your comfort and performance. Join Hank and Manon as they take you through the must-have kit in every cyclist's wardrobe!

Cyclists are known for their lean physiques. To some outsiders, they might appear "skinny" and "weak", and while we know that this isn’t the case, Dan & Si still tackle the debate head-on! In this week's show they dive into whether a cyclist's physique is truly the pinnacle of fitness ...or not!
If you were given ÂŁ2,000 to buy any bike you want, what would you do? Here at GCN, we'd almost certainly go for a used bike.
