FSA introduce new Pro-wing AGX with integrated extensions

FSA - Release Gravel Specific Pro-Wing AGX Handlebar

Full Speed Ahead have announced a new offering for gravel riding in their Pro-wing AGX bike packing and gravel-specific handlebar

The Pro-wing AGX bar from FSA is aimed at the ever-growing, not-so-niche corner of the cycling market of gravel riding and bikepacking - where the demands on the bike and body differ somewhat from that of typical road cycling. FSA have used direct input from enthusiast riders to develop this new bar to offer a product specific to this flourishing discipline.

One of the first details that distinguishes the Pro-wing AGX is the integrated extensions that are welded to the main bar. The use of extensions in gravel riding has long been used however, typically they are an aftermarket, bolt-on ordeal rather than coming as part of the handlebars themselves. FSA claim that the use of the extensions will reduce strain on the riders' hands and wrists whilst simultaneously putting the rider in a more aerodynamic position.

Not only do the Pro-wing AGX have the integrated extensions, but they also feature a very on-trend flared profile to the drops, once again to aid the control and comfort of riding on unpaved surfaces. The bars offer a 25 degree flare, which means the bar width on the drops measures 50mm wider than at the hoods.

In regards to useability for bikepackers, the bars have been designed with luggage in mind, with the flared bars offering a wide profile for bar bags as well as the extensions offering additional mounting points for bikepacking kit.

Spec, availability and pricing

FSA offers the Pro-wing AGX in three width options 420mm, 440mm and 460mm with all width bars featuring 120mm drop and 80mm reach with a 25 degree flare to the drops offering a 50mm offset.

The handlebars retail for £154 / €179 / $191 and are available immediately, from the FSA website.
