Muuvr secures fresh funding to continue app development and establish fresh partners

Muuvr has secured $4.16 million in funding that will facilitate the next phase of the platform's growth.

This will include developments to the app, marketing, and bringing on board new partnerships. In this round of investment, Muuvr received investment backing from notable athletes Daniela Ryf and Jan van Berkel, who are both multiple IronMan Champions.

The app incentivises its users to record activities by rewarding them with points that can be redeemed at an in-app store for sporting goods from a growing number of partner brands.

Michael Hartweg, co-founder and CEO of Muuvr had this to say in light of securing the funding: "After our launch in October, this investment marks another major milestone for Muuvr and the world of endurance sports. It’s not just about financial backing; it’s a testament to the belief in our purpose to revolutionise how athletes engage with their sport.

“We’re not just developing an app; we’re nurturing a community where passion for endurance sports is ignited and continuously fuelled. This is a leap towards a future where every stride, pedal, and stroke is empowered by innovation and camaraderie.”

The Muuvr app has been live since late 2023 and is available to download on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Muuvr is a fresh take on the incentivised training platform as it allows users to fully redeem purchases in the store with credits earned from recording activities. In the past, apps have typically issued voucher codes or discounts rather than complete purchases.
