The World of Cycling has moved from the Tour de France to the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift with this week's episode. Si Richardson is joined by cycling legend Pippa York and women's cycling expert Owen Rogers to discuss the best of the action from the Tour de France Femmes.
Yet, before they moved onto the world's biggest women's race, the group took a detour to discuss the final stage of the Tour de France and what to make of Jonas Vingegaard’s second title, with York offering a hot take about the Dane's upcoming challenge at the Vuelta a España.
Nonetheless, this week the World of Cycling is all about the Tour de France Femmes, including discussion of SD Worx's success and the tactics that have seemed to play right into the Dutch supersquad’s hands. Additionally, our panel touched upon the decisive weekend to come, with the summit finish on the Col du Tourmalet and final-day time trial in Pau.
Beyond the Tour de France Femmes, the trio also take a closer look at two of the main protagonists in the race, Dutch superstars Annemiek van Vleuten and Marianne Vos. What has made Van Vleuten and Vos so successful for so long? Are they challengers to Eddy Merckx's title of cycling's G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time)? And who will take over the mantle once these two legends finally hang up their wheels?
With this being Van Vleuten’s last season, this Tour de France Femmes may have a definitive say on the verdict for at least one of the two, before Vos wraps up her career in the near future.
