Mount Etna: The first summit finish of the race. The Giro uses a route up the volcano that has never been ridden in the race before. This looks like the first chance to see some major splits among the GC contenders.
Monte Zoncolan: The climb by which all 'hardest climbs' are measured. The Zoncolan averages a leg destroying 11.9% for its 10km length. The gradient weights this finish to the pure climbers, so expect to see the bigger GC contenders lose time here.
Colle Delle Finestre: The Cima Coppi, highest point, of the 2018 Giro. As if the 9% average gradient for 18.5km wasn't enough, the top half of this climb is raced on gravel roads! Making this surely the most iconic climb of this years Giro.
