Simon has been well and truly impressed and amazed by all the things seen during his visit to the Taipei Cycle Show and here is some bike tech that may, or may not ever be made available!
Prototype tech we saw includes:
- Vision Metron 5D Integrated bar & stem. These will be available in your shop!
- Vision TriMax KB Wheels featuring a plasma coating on the braking surface. The brake surface will stay black and stay looking cool. The 35mm version will be available in Autumn 2017, but the 30mm are out now!
- Culprit have an aerodynamic stem, which houses electronic shift cables as well as your rear brake cable. It even works very well with tri-bars
- Wahoo show off their Elemnt Bolt. More on this here: http://gcn.eu/6f
- Continuous Filament Winding carbon wheels
- Bowman Cycles showed off their generation 2 "Palace" frame. weighing only 1150g for a size 56cm frame! that's impressive.
- Budnitz Model E bike, with a 100mile range, featuring a belt drive too.
