This week on episode 222 of The GCN Show we look into how the race was won at The Hell Of The North, Paris-Roubaix. As well as seeing how Dan and Simon’s predictions went.

We announce the winner of the Zipp Vuka Aerobars.

Unfortunately the cycling world lost another great last week. Steve Tilford was involved in a car accident while on his way home to Colorado. He was a 4 times US Cyclocross champion, won the first ever US National MTB Championships, was a 5 time World Masters MTB Champion, but above all he was a stalwart of the cycling scene - he raced from the age of 14, and just didn’t stop, always competing with the same enthusiasm with which he had started, and across all disciplines. His loss has come as a big shock and we would like to offer our condolences to his friends and family.

We talk racing at Paris-Roubaix, Healthy Ageing Tour, The Tour of the Basque Country and the Scheldeprijs where Tom Boonen had a huge send-off from his fans at his last race on Belgian soil.

The lifetime #WattageBazooka award: step forward Mr Tom Boonen - who could be more deserving of this lifetime award than a man who has spent a lifetime dishing out wattage Bazooka’s - World Champion, Green Jersey, three times a winner of the Tour of Flanders and 4 times a winner of Paris Roubaix, plus many many more. His retirement is going to leave quite a hole for many fans. We wish Tom the best for his retirement.
GCN fan #WattageBazooka was awarded to Katie Kookaburra for her effort on Mount Teide in Tenerife.
