Nairo Quintana is one of the fastest climbers of his generation. His Canyon Ultimate CF SLX is the lighter of the two frame models available to the Movistar team. Quintana's status as one of cycling's top climber is shown by his component choice which includes Campagnolo's Bora Ultra 35 wheelset and a fi'zi:k Antares saddle.
The bike is light, but not super-light. Sensible given the risks of coming in under the UCI's lower limit and giving a bit of room to run some lighter components should Quintana wish to do so.
One point of interest is the pedals – apparently Quintana prefers the older Look model, so, unlike that others on the team, those are the pedals that he uses.
