Lasty takes a seat inside the Mavic neutral service car and even swings a leg over the scooter as he checks out the iconic race support crew.

An icon of the professional cycling world. The Mavic neutral support car.
So many people are interested in what's on the roof of the cars so Lasty has jumped at the chance to take a look around the car and scooter!
The first three bikes on the roof of the car are actually setup for the riding positions for the top three riders in the general classification, how cool is that?!
If you are not in the top 3 in the GC of the race then all is not lost, as the other bikes come fitted with technology originally in MTB'ing. Dropper posts,. This mean a rider can adjust the saddle height (upto 6.5cm) without the need for any tools, good eh?
The mechanic in the rear of the car has some spare wheels with them so they are ready for action, there are plenty of spares on the roof of the car too. There is a mixture of Campagnolo and Shimano space cassettes.
Incredibly, the boot/trunk of the car is totally empty!
The rear seats are used as storage for a mechanic, a pair of wheels, a Park tool kit and some chain lubricant.
The Mavic scooter is used primarily on narrow roads as they can navigate easier. There is a pilot and pillion, and the scooter can carry 4 spare wheels.
