The Basque Euskaltel-Euskadi team occupy a unique place in cycling history. For years, they were a Basque-funded, Basque-based team with Basque riders. Whenever the Tour de France hit the Pyrenées, Basque fans are famous for their passion and the Euskaltel teams matched that with the way that they attacked whenever the road tilted upwards.
Matt decided to relive those days by donning Euskaltel kit and borrowing a retro bike – Orbea's first ever carbon fibre Orca from back in 2003.
