Colourful And Custom Tech For 2018 | The Rouleur Classic

It looks like colour is really going to be in for 2018! Simon had a look around the Rouleur Classic to bring you the most exciting tech from this high end bike show.

This is the Rouleur Classic, a really high-end bike show in London. I think we should go take a look around.

We're over at the Storck stand. This is actually the personal bike of the owner, Mr. Storck. It's a feathery 5.3kg, this one. Now part of that is due to the build on here. So we've got THM super-light brakes. We've also got Storck's very own super-light carbon crank set with carbon axle and a one piece monocoque bar and stem there that is apparently just 300 grams.

But the frameset itself is super-light. So the frame is 670 grams, but with the fork and the headset it comes in at less than a kilo which is reportedly a record. Now part of that is due to refining carbon layout.

This is gorgeous. It's the new Ridley Noah, with Campagnolo Super Record discs. And I'm not gonna lie, those are some of the prettiest disc rotors I've ever seen.

Now you can't have a high end bike show without these guys at Lightweight. This is a new Meilenstein clincher disc wheel. So it's a little bit wider than normal Lightweight wheels. It's 24 mm externally.

It's the Sarto Lampo. And Sarto are an Italian custom builder. They make their own tubes and then they're wrapped and then bonded together. Now because they make their own tubes, they can then dial in the right characteristics you like as well. And then, and then they paint them. Ho, ho, they paint them!

Danilo Di Luca, the infamous Italian pro. Winner of the Giro d'Italia has brought a couple of his aero bikes and also brilliantly his dancing shoes as well. Check it out! Actually not for Strictly Come Dancing but for cycling. These are my particular favorites.

This looks like a lot of fun. It's the Rondo Ruut and it's actually on the Sram and the Zipp stand because it has the new Zipp 303 Firecrest disc wheels in a 650B size.

Now we got a cool little collaboration going on here. We've got Vaaru who are a British custom builder making titanium frames, and the paint job a courtesy of Fat Creations. I'm not sure whether you can see it from there, but believe me, the copper leaf on here is something to behold.
