Has this year's Tour de France finally marked the moment that disc brakes have arrived in pro cycling? With lots of the top pro riders choosing to use discs, will we look back on this tour as the key moment in road bike disc brake history? Even a rider with as much say as Peter Sagan is using discs at this year's race.

With one of the most talked about stages the TDF been and gone, we thought we would mention a few bits of tech from Stage 9, dubbed the Roubaix Stage. The squad of Team Sky used the Pinarello Dogma K10 equipped with Hi-Ride suspension. An electro-hydraulic-elastomer suspension unit that connects the seat stays to the seat tube. It adapts the suspension depending on what the clever little unit detects as you ride along, plus it can be controlled by some GPS head units, so a manual setting if you like.
