We have a new wheel partner for 2024 in the form of Elitewheels. In case you haven’t heard of the brand, let us tell you a bit more about it. It’s been in the cycling world since 2015, originally making wheels for other top brands. It wasn’t long before it decided to release its own products and effectively cut out the middle man so it could offer wheels at a greatly reduced cost direct to the customer.

This is not the first time that GCN has used its products, with Ollie choosing the Drive 40 wheelset during his assault on the Taiwan KOM challenge. This was in part due to the high-performance credentials of the wheels, with a full wheelset coming in at under 1300 grams and costing $1189 per pair which puts them at the more affordable end of the performance wheel spectrum. Elitewheels also offer wheels for most budgets but the range-topping Drive series comes packed with some of the latest tech out there.

The Drive series uses carbon fibre spokes in an attempt to further reduce the weight of the wheels with ceramic bearings as standard which should aid the longevity between hub services.

If you want to find out more about Elitewheels’ complete range of products including gravel bikes make sure to check out the website.
