Aston Martin and J. Laverack have created a tailor made bike to the measurements of each owner with premium customisable spec choices
Luxury car brand Aston Martin has collaborated with J. Laverack, a titanium specialist, to create a bespoke and premium road bike that can be made to the exact measurements of each rider.
The bike is based around a frame that is comprised of 3D-printed titanium lugs that are joined together with carbon fibre tubes. This method of construction allows for different tube lengths to be fitted, as well as bespoke angles to the frame to be tweaked in the design software before printing.

The brand said: "This ensures a frame that not only delivers an exceptional blend of response and comfort but also sets new standards of elegance and beauty."
Oliver Laverack, Co-founder of J. Laverack Bicycles, said: "Working with the team at Aston Martin has unlocked new ideas and innovations, the application of which has created a bicycle more advanced than anything currently available on the market."

The bike is manufactured using a 3D printed titanium lugs and bonded carbon fibre tubes
If you are interested in acquiring one of these bikes, upon purchase each owner will receive an invitation to the headquarters of Aston Martin in Gaydon in the UK for a full fitting. Here you will be measured up to have the bike tailor-made to your specifications.
Customers can select the exact same colour palettes and trim choices available on Aston Martin’s cars, providing the opportunity to pair car and bike.
Potentially buyers can test out what their bike may look like via Aston Martin's free online configuration site. This will allow you to select the colour of the bike's forks, tubes, lugs, and stem, along with saddle and bar tape.

The .1R is available with a choice of three 12-speed groupsets, these are of course the most premium groupsets on offer from Shimano, Sram, and Campagnolo. Choosing between Dura-ace Di2, RED eTap AXS and Super Record wireless is a matter of preference. Finishing off any of the groupsets on offer are bespoke chainrings machined from aluminium to the size of the customer's choice.

Another element unique to the .1R is the AREA Components Æ|55 wheels. These feature hubs that are machined from high-strength aerospace aluminium before being finished in a custom brevet black colourway. Finishing off the 55mm deep wheels are some Continental GP5000S TR tyres that have been specifically produced in a 30mm width with a special stealth black finish.

In typically British fashion, the bike comes with a C13 Brooks saddle that has been produced specifically for the .1R. This is available in a choice of leather or Alcantara, and is finished with a single titanium rivet.

One of the customisable spec choices on the .1R is bar tape with this premium option available
Although no price has been disclosed so far, for a bike with this level of craftsmanship, and the premium nature of both brands, it is safe to assume that if you need to ask for the price it might well be out of your budget.
