Taipei Cycle Show's best bikes gallery: Pinarello, Colnago, Trigon and more

Is this Pinarello Bolide the fastest bike in the world? It's the bike that propelled Filippo Ganna to the hour record in 2023, which many regard as the ultimate cycling test of speed

'Top Ganna' set a record distance of 56.792km atop the bike, beating the previous record of 55.548km set by his Ineos Grenadiers teammate Dan Bigham

This isn't the regular Bolide but a special F HR 3D edition designed specifically for Ganna's record attempt. It is the world's first UCI-compliant 3D-printed aero bike

This Look P24 bike is also at home on the track. It has been developed for the 2024 Paris Olympics

Track bikes aren't subject to quite as stringent rules, meaning brands can be more adventurous with their designs. Just like Look has been with these incredibly wide fork legs

Look has used a similar design for the split seat post too, which is essentially two seatposts rather than one

Ceepo's bikes always stand out from the crowd and the Japanese brand has been experimenting with frame designs since its 2003 inception

That innovative approach has resulted in this Shadow triathlon bike, among others, with its gravity-defying lack of a seat tube

This Cervélo S5 has been an all-conquering WorldTour machine over recent seasons, piloted to lots of success by Visma-Lease a Bike and their riders, including Wout van Aert and Jonas Vingegaard

The team's success reached new heights in 2023 when they completed a clean sweep of Grand Tour victories. To celebrate this, Cervélo created a special colourway which provides a nod to this success, with the yellow, pink and red jerseys of the three Grand Tours all represented

Colnago's C68 isn't raced at WorldTour level, that's taken care of by the brand's V4Rs. It's still a seriously high-performing, lightweight bike and this special-edition colourway is a real eye-catcher

We've put the Trigon AR01 through its paces multiple times and it has wowed us on every occasion. First it helped Ollie to complete the Tour des Stations Ultimate 1000 - his toughest ever challenge - before they combined once more for the Taiwan KOM challenge

Beyond its climbing ability, the bike also has some unique aero features, like these dimples that can be found on the head and seat tubes. This is designed to mimic the texture of a golf ball and is called 'Vortex Tubing Technology'

There were some new bikes on show too, including the Giant TCR which stole the limelight on the opening day

Anyone familiar with the previous TCR will notice that the bike doesn't look much different. That's because Giant has opted for evolution rather than revolution, although that doesn't mean that it's the same. According to the Taiwanese brand, it's lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic than before

Liv's EnviLiv Advanced, in our opinion, was one of the best looking bikes at the show. It's the bike and colourway that will be used by the Women's WorldTour Liv AlUla Jayco team in 2024

Liv is owned by Giant and specialises in women-specific bikes. This one belongs to pro rider Urška Žigart

Over at Ora, we discovered this Titanium gem. It's the 25-RA-601

The welds on the head tube are impressively tidy. Ora is an OEM company, so it produces products for other companies

We are big fans of the marble-effect colourway on this CKT bike

The excessively high stack height did hamper the aesthetics of the bike a little, though

Fewer brands are speccing Campagnolo's groupsets so it was nice to see this De Rosa sporting the Super Record groupset

So far, so ordinary. Step in the Caracle-Coz from Japanese company Tech One which has produced a folding road bike. The idea is to add extra practicality to the traditional road bike design, and the brand says that it can even fit in a suitcase

The bike is also light, tipping the scales at 7.3kg for a build with Shimano's Dura-Ace groupset

After a fairly long hiatus, Pinarello unveiled its latest range of mountain bikes in 2023, including this Dogma XC

The new range was a part of Pinarello's renewed off-road focus, sparked by the arrival of Tom Pidcock and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot. The Italian brand's efforts were rewarded when both riders won gold medals at the Glasgow Wolrd Championships

Before the latest Merida Silex was released at the end of 2023, it had already won a world gravel title at the hands of Matej Mohorič

It may just be me, but nothing beats the sight of a bike laden with bikepacking gear - it elicits an instant sense of adventure. In this instance, the bike in question is Fara's F/Gravel
