DirtySixer's big bicycle: The world's largest bike you can buy
James 'Hank' Lowsley-Williams and Conor Dunne try to get onboard the ridiculously large DirtySixer AllRoad to find out what it's like to ride a size 5XL bike

Bikes come in lots of different sizes. There are ones with smaller frames to accommodate shorter riders, while others are optimised for taller riders with larger frame dimensions - like the Orbea Orca that caters to Conor Dunne’s six foot seven inches frame.
Even this bike, though, pales in comparison to the largest commercially available bike in the world: the DirtySixer AllRoad in a size 5XL. Far from a marketing ploy, the bike is practically designed for riders who are between 7’1” and 7’5”.

American basketball player Curtis Johnson is a proud owner of the 5XL DirtySixer AllRoad. It looks pretty normal next to his 7'3" frame
The result is a bike that takes on mammoth proportions, but what is it like to ride? To find out, we decided to recruit two of our GCN presenters to test it out, and it was only fair that we picked them from different ends of the height scale. With the selection decided, James ‘Hank’ Lowsley-Williams and Conor Dunne put the bike through its paces - at least that was the plan, but it soon became apparent that it would be impossible for Hank, and not much easier for Conor.
Watch how they got on in the video at the top of this page, or check out a comparison between Hank’s regular Orbea and the DirtySixer below.
