Letizia Paternoster

Letizia Paternoster is one of the many Italian riders to race both the road and track, with the track programme complementing her efforts on the road. Paternoster has one GC win in her palmarès - the Elsy Jacobs Festival in 2018 - but is primarily a sprinter or flat Classics rider. Before joining Liv AlUla Jayco, the 24-year-old spent four years on Trek-Segafredo, where she was mainly in a support role for bigger names, so has not had that many opportunities to race for herself.

Paternoster moved to the Australian squad in 2023 and is one of their stronger and more reliable riders. Better suited to flatter races, the Italian scored some top-10 during the Classics in 2023 with the hope of delivering that breakthrough win during 2024.
