Registration opens Monday morning
The Rule of Three gravel race in Bentonville, Arkansas will open its registration on Monday for the event on May 18.
The event is historically quick to sell out with a limited number of spots available. Registration opens promptly at 8:00 AM central time on Monday, February 5th.
Rule of Three is one of the two races that is widely seen as the final test before Unbound Gravel which starts just two weeks later and 240 miles north in Emporia, Kansas. The race is also the most affordable of the premier races in the United States, with a registration fee of $85 for the 100-mile race.
That event is called the Rule of Three because of the intent to create a course that is equal parts tarmac, gravel and singletrack trail. Every year the course changes, but largely takes on the same general terrain of chunky gravel, small rural paved roads and some of the easier trails in northwest Arkansas.
“Can we return to the by-gone gravel days of old?” the poem on the website's home page reads. “With more fun, and less things bought and sold. Have we gone too far, lost our devotion? Maybe this is so, but let us make a motion.”
Rule of Three was one of our top ten must-do US gravel races from late last year and will once again attract a mixed field of gravel racers and mountain bikers from across the country.
