Former Tour de France and Giro d'Italia finisher turned presenter and commentator
Dan Lloyd was a professional road cyclist for over 10 years, racing for teams such as the Cervelo Test Team (which never seems to get mentioned much) and Garmin-Cervelo. He raced and completed the Giro d'Italia on two occasions and the Tour de France in 2010. In 2012 he rode for the IG Sigma Sport team, at the same time as combining commentary for ITV4, Eurosport, the BBC, and Rai.
Dan became lead presenter on GCN after an interview where he drank the rest of the GCN team under the table. Since then he has become a familiar face on The Breakaway, offering his insight and analysis around the biggest races on the calendar but still finds time to regularly front the weekly GCN Show, GCN Racing News show and appear on the World of Cycling show on GCN+. And when not offering expert opinion and analysis on cycling he still likes to find time to visit the nearest pub and offer his expert opinion and analysis on their selection of beers.
Dan's been with us here at GCN since pretty much the beginning and to prove it here's a classic video where he reveals a little more about himself.
