Ineos Grenadiers will ride new saddles in 2024

Ineos Grenadiers have made the switch to Prologo saddles for the 2024 season after agreeing a three-year partnership with the Italian brand. It’ll be the first time in 12 years that their bikes won’t be adorned by Fizik saddles.

The deal reunites the British outfit with the Italian brand, which previously supplied the team with saddles during their first two seasons in 2010 and 2011.

"We are excited to welcome Prologo as our exclusive technical partner for saddles,” the team said in a press release.

“Prologo’s experience in designing and manufacturing saddles for professional road and cross-country teams aligns perfectly with our vision of success through innovation. We are confident that this partnership will bring tangible benefits to our team and contribute to our ongoing pursuit of excellence in road and off-road racing”.

A lot of things have changed at the team since they were last partnered with Prologo, with all of their Tour de France victories coming after they had switched to Fizik. Like many modern teams, Ineos Grenadiers have also become more mutli-disciplinary in recent seasons, supporting the off-road ambitions of both Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Tom Pidcock.

Prologo will supply saddles for the team across their full breadth of disciplines, supporting both their on-road and off-road ambitions, as well as on the track, where Filippo Ganna will be hoping to defend his Team Pursuit title at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

"Prologo is excited to join forces with Ineos Grenadiers, a team that embodies the highest standards of professionalism and success in road cycling and beyond. It is a pleasure to be able to collaborate again with the team, after the great milestones already achieved together in the years 2010 and 2011 during the Team Sky collaboration,” Prologo brand manager, Salvatore Truglio, said in a press release.

"The passion for innovation and performance, which we share with the Ineos Grenadiers team, is combined with the determination and attention to detail of its champions, creating a unique synergy that will lead to great results and the creation of new, increasingly high-performance products in the different disciplines to meet the needs of both professionals and all cyclists."

The new partnership is the latest change for Ineos Grenadiers in the last few days after they revealed their new Gobik kit, having moved across from Bioracer. That announcement came as no surprise after Egan Bernal prematurely shared an image of the new kit design from a training camp ahead of the official launch.
