Pinarello has announced two new models, an Aero cyclo-cross bike called the Crossita and an aero gravel bike called the Grevil. First up the Grevil, Aero isn’t something you’d normally associate with gravel, however, Pinarello believes its important. To this end you’ve got features from the F10, such as the concave frame shapes to aerodynamically integrate round bottles, fork flaps on the dropouts and aero seat post to further reduce drag.

Aerodynamics experts such as Jean Paul Ballard, formerly of Sauber now of SwissSide and formerly of Red Bull and has worked on Scott bikes, ENVE Wheels and Endura’s skin suits.

We would love to see cycling grow as a spectator sport. At the moment cycling is mainly participant led, and by that, I mean that a large proportion of the people who watch racing ride road bikes themselves. Compare this with F1, where very few of the audience has driven an F1 car. Other sports too, like tennis, rugby and football too.

It’s the time of the year when here in the northern hemisphere we begin thinking about indoor training. Something that has truly changed indoor training for many people is Zwift and it’s virtual worlds and the ability for you to be able to ride, train or even race alongside others all over the globe. The team at Zwift have just launched a whole new world, this time in New York.
