The Vuelta a Espana is the third Grand Tour of the year. Always hotly contested, at GCN we're expecting this one to be a cracker.

Daniel Lloyd and Simon Richardson preview the final three-week tour of the 2013 season.

The Vuelta a España returns with what looks certain to be a brutal route. With 13 mountain stages and 11 uphill finishes, the general classification favourites can't afford a bad day.

The usual Spanish favourites return, minus Alberto Contador. With Vincenzo Nibali and Ivan Basso, plus a group of exciting young Colombians, it looks set to be a great race, with the penultimate stage on the feared Angliru.

Stay tuned to GCN as we bring you more previews of the race and, of course, full coverage and background footage from what could prove to be the most exciting Grand Tour this year.
