The Tour of Utah saw one new name to the fore with Lachlan Morton of Garmin-Sharp winning third stage solo. However, Morton couldn't hold onto his lead and Chris Horner and Tom Danielson battled for the overall win on the final stage, with Danielson coming out on top.

The Route de France saw the women of Wiggle-Honda absolutely dominate. We caught up with team owner Rochelle Gilmore who spoke about the winning atmosphere within the team and her hopes for women's professional cycling.

Several favourites for the Vuelta a Espana stretched their legs at the Vuelta a Burgos. Nairo Quintana, who won't be at the Vuelta carried his fantastic Tour de France form forward, but the real interest behind him as David Arroyo, Vincenzo Nibali and Ivan Basso traded blows.

The first edition of the Arctic Race of Norway took place. With great scenery and Thor Hushovd taking a home win, hopefully we will see the 'race above the Arctic Circle' becoming a fixture in the European racing calendar.

We close, as always, with Tweet of the Week.
