The Critérium du Dauphiné closes with what Team Sky will hope is a rehearsal of the Tour de France podium. The Tour de Suisse, the other traditional Tour warm-up, kicks off, with the winter weather continuing to hamper European racing well into June.
Over in Spain, Emma Johansson and the Orica-AIS leave their mark on the Emakumeen Euskal Bira four-day stage race, whilst off-road, the first round of the UCI Downhill World Cup took place in Scotland, with the Atherton family having a great start to their 2013 campaign.
We also take a look at the time trial tech on show at the Dauphiné and chat with our friend Caley Fretz of VeloNews about the pro's strategies for reducing drag. Martyn Ashton shows freestyle footballer Daniel Cutting from the Copa90 YouTube channel the basics of balance, and Pat McQuaid has a challenger in his bid for re-election as UCI President.
