Splitting a tyre will happen to most cyclists at some point. It often happens if you're riding worn tyres, or if you puncture on something sharp. When you have a split tyre, simply repairing the puncture is not enough to get home. If you don't address the split, you'll puncture again, and again. If you're carrying a tyre patch with you, now is the time to use it. If not, we've got a few methods using food wrappers or the natural world to get you home without puncturing again.
