The Lexus Of Blackburn Women’s Herald Sun Tour kicked off with a 94km stage that started and finished in the township of Shepparton. With just a few hundred meters of elevation this was always going to be a day for the sprinters. Chloe Hosking, fresh off the back of a commanding victory on the opening stage of the Tour Down Under, was out looking to add another victory to her palmares for her new team of Rally.
