GCN's expert pundit and Giro d'Italia finisher Daniel Lloyd talks us through the 2013 edition of the Giro with help from Simon Richardson.
We look at the big contenders for this years race. The grudge match between Vincenzo Nibali of team Astana and Bradley Wiggins of Sky Pro cycling in the general classification. They will be hoping to steal the crown from last years winner Ryder Hesjedal from Garmin SHARP.
In the red jersey competition for the points, Mark Cavendish will surely be aiming to take this one after he lost it on the penultimate stage last year. But he will be facing fierce competition not only from his fellow sprinters, but also the GC riders.
Finally, Dan and Simon discuss the mystique of the Giro, and just exactly what they are looking forward to in the 2013 race.
A great show.
