UCI Women's WorldTeam
After launching their men’s team in 2021, Norwegian outfit Uno-X added a women’s squad to their ecosystem at the start of 2022, with the team being granted WorldTour status from the off.
Notably, Uno-X committed to parity across resources and pay for both the men’s and women’s teams, so the Women's WorldTour arm started strong with some solid support. As a result, they were able to sign some big names for their first year in 2022, but were unable to pick up a win in their first season.
In 2023, they managed five victories, four of them being national championship successes in Scandinavia, and hopes are higher for 2024 and the team's third season in the top tier.
The team don't boast one standout star rider but they have former world champion Amalie Dideriksen, along with the likes of Maria Giulia Confalonieri, Susanne Anderson, Anouska Koster, and Anniina Ahtosalo. Decorated track Olympian Elinor Barker also made an eye-catching foray into road racing in 2023 after returning from maternity leave.
Without a clear GC rider, the team will again be likely targeting stages and sprints over stage races, looking to punch above their weight as the Uno-X men's squad has done in recent years.
