Team Coop-Repsol are Norway's oldest professional women's cycling team, having begun life in 2009 as Hitec Products UCK. The sponsorship of Hitec became synonymous with the team as it punched above its weight throughout the 2010s, with future stars such as Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio and Kirsten Wild riding for the team.

Just a few years into their existence, the team managed a number of notable victories through Elisa Longo Borghini, who won the Giro d'Italia Women young rider's jersey in 2012, before sealing Trofeo Alfredo Binda for the team in 2013.

Wild kept the team ticking over for the next few seasons before Charlotte Becker and Nina Kessler rose to prominence towards the end of the decade. All the while, the team offered invaluable opportunities to young Norwegian cyclists.

This connection to their roots no doubt played a role in the team's valuable merger with the men's continental side, Team Coop, in 2021. Becoming Team Coop-Hitec Products, the team gained the investment of Coop Norge, which is a Norwegian public cooperative with more than two million members.

Based in the Stavanger, Sandnes area of Norway, Team Coop-Hitec Products went from strength to strength before the addition of petrochemical company Repsol as a title sponsor in 2024. With the investment of the Spanish multinational, the women's and men's Coop-Repsol teams will become more united than ever, sharing the same equipment, resources and warehouse.

Such investment will relieve the burden from Karl Lima and Tone Lima Hatteland, who have often had to dip into their own pockets to run the team alone for the 14 years prior. Hitec Products will continue to be a sponsor, albeit not a title one, as the team hopes to return to the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift in 2024.
