Puck Pieterse

Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Deceuninck) is one of the most exciting talents in the world of off-road, excelling in both cross-country mountain biking and cyclo-cross. On the mountain bike, Pieterse stepped into the elite field for the first time in 2023, and immediately asserted her dominance, taking several wins and the overall title at the end of the year.

In cyclo-cross, it was the 2022/23 season where Pieterse really made her mark, battling Fem van Empel and Shirin van Anrooij in the biggest races on the circuit, taking eight elite wins and never finishing off the podium. The trio have all raced less in the 2023/24 season, but remain the biggest names in the women's field.

Pieterse made her Women's WorldTour debut in the spring of 2023, riding Strade Bianche. She took an astonishing result in Siena, riding to fifth just behind Annemiek van Vleuten after going with the key move of the day. Pieterse will continue to focus on mountain biking and cyclo-cross until after the Paris Olympics in 2024, but it’s clear she has a lot of talent on the road if she ever wants to race more of the WorldTour calendar.
