Shirin van Anrooij is one of the most promising and exciting prospects in the current women’s peloton. The 21-year-old is now in her fourth year with Lidl-Trek and has already picked up the best young rider prize at the Tour de France Femmes, two European titles, and her first WorldTour win at the Trofeo Alfredo Binda in 2023.

The Dutchwoman went on to add the coveted Tour de l'Avenir Femmes title to her palmarès later in the 2023 season, winning the final mountain stage by over two minutes.

A talented cyclo-cross rider, Van Anrooij was part of the young trio - with Fem van Empel and Puck Pieterse - that dominated the 2022/23 season, with Van Anrooij taking seven wins and the under-23 world title. Unlike Van Empel and Pieterse, who are just starting their road careers, Van Anrooij is already an established road racer on top of her cyclo-cross prowess, with several big results to her name already. Clearly a rider who has strengths in the harder, hillier races of the season, the only way is up for Shirin van Anrooij.
