Quinn Simmons burst onto the international scene at the 2019 UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire with a stunning solo win in the junior men’s race.

The American rider was snapped up by Lidl-Trek for the 2020 season and renewed his contract for a further two years in 2022. He was suspended by his own team in 2020 for posts on social media that were described by Lidl-Trek as ‘divisive, incendiary and detrimental to the team.’

Simmons made his 2021 Grand Tour debut at the Vuelta a España and in 2022 he raced his first Tour de France. He was in five key breaks during the race and was one of the most aggressive riders throughout the Grand Tour.

Simmons began his 2023 season with a stage victory in the Vuelta a San Juan.
