Vittoria Guazzini

Like many of the best Italian cyclists, Vittoria Guazzini came up through the national track programme, and continues to race on their track team. Also a theme among Italian cyclists, Guazzini is a graduate of the Valcar team, which was a hotbed for developing young talent. She was signed by FDJ-SUEZ for 2022, and has proved to be one of their most consistent riders.

A powerful and strong rider, Guazzini is somewhere between a sprinter and a time triallist. She became U23 time trial world champion in 2022, but is also handy in a sprint, especially at the flatter Classics. The 23-year-old Italian took third-place finishes at both Le Samyn des Dames and Trofeo Alfredo Binda in 2023. Though not a climber, she will also fill the role of domestique and protector for the team’s various climbers and GC options, such as Marta Cavalli and Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig.
