Valentin Madouas is a French professional cyclist who races for the Groupama-FDJ team.

A talented climber, Madouas turned professional back in 2018 for Marc Madiot’s team and has established himself as one of the leading lights for the current generation of French riders. In his first season on Groupama-FDJ the riders won the one-day race Paris-Bourges, while the following season saw him finish 13th overall on his Grand Tour debut at the Giro d’Italia.

Madouas raced the Tour de France in 2020 and 2021 and picked up a number of steady results but he enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2022. He won the King of the Mountains jersey in Paris-Nice and then showed his versatility with seventh in E3 Saxo Bank Classics and third in the Tour of Flanders. At the Tour de France in July Madouas finished second on the stage to Foix but rode into Paris in 10th overall. He carried his form in 2023, finishing second in Strade Bianche behind Tom Pidcock.
