Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig

One of the most popular personalities among cycling fans, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (FDJ-SUEZ) has made a name for herself not only for her results but for her exuberant interviews too. The 28-year-old Dane came to prominence with Cervélo-Bigla back in 2017 and has been on an upward trajectory since then.

The Danish rider has been in the upper echelons of the sport for several seasons now, but only took her first WorldTour win in 2021, winning a stage of the Vuelta a Burgos. Her most notable win so far, however, came on stage 3 of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift in 2022, where she battled an elite group on a punchy finish to take an emotional win in Épernay. At FDJ-SUEZ, her programme is balanced against that of Marta Cavalli, and the pair are often seen working for one another in stage races.

In 2023, Uttrup Ludwig had a quiet Spring as she focused her attention on summer stage racing. She missed out on the overall win but picked up two stage wins at her native Tour of Scandinavia, and ended her season with a win at the Giro dell'Emilia.

Even when she’s not winning, she can often be seen (and heard) breaking down the race in typical Cecilie fashion with the enthusiasm and passion that makes her a favourite amongst viewers.
