Stefan Küng

Stefan Küng is a Swiss professional bike rider who currently races for the Groupama FDJ team.

A renowned time trialist, Küng has also developed into a contender for the Spring Classics and other one day races owing to his power and durability. Küng turned professional with BMC Racing in 2015 having raced for the squad’s development programme for two years. He raced the Giro d’Italia in his first season in the WorldTour and although he failed to finish he returned the following year to complete the race. He has taken part in the Tour de France every year since 2017, winning a stage in 2018 as part of BMC Racing’s team time trial victory on stage 3 in Cholet. The majority of Küng’s wins have come on home roads, with three stages in the Tour de Romandie, and two stages in the Tour de Suisse. He is also a two-time winner of the Chrono des Nations and finished second in the time trial at the UCI Road World Championships in 2022. In 2022 he also finished third in Paris-Roubaix.
