Australian Grace Brown (FDJ-SUEZ) started her WorldTour career with Mitchelton-Scott in 2019 after coming to cycling relatively late. A powerful rouleur-type rider, the 31-year-old was a revelation of the Covid-delayed 2020 season, where she ended her year with second at Liège-Bastogne-Liège, followed by a win at Brabantse Pijl.

For some time, Brown was able to use her status as somewhat unknown to her advantage, often launching successful attacks when the peloton underestimated her ability to hold on to the line, but these days she is looked at as one of the most dangerous riders to let get away. Her ability to stay away is down to her prowess as a time trialist, which has earned her national and Commonwealth titles in the discipline, as well as a silver medal at the World Championships in 2023.

Now at FDJ-SUEZ, Brown rides alongside Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig as the team’s options for tougher Classics and stage races, as well as picking up regular TT victories. Though a punchy, powerful race is Brown’s ideal terrain, her climbing is only improving and has led her to stage victories at the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta and the Tour Down Under, where she also took the overall title at the start of 2023.
