Lidl-Trek
Strengths:
Elisa Longo Borghini (Lidl-Trek) is one of the stalwarts of the women’s peloton, and she’s showing no signs of slowing down. The Italian has been racing as a pro for over a decade now, taking her first elite wins at only 20, and she’s still winning at 31. As one of Trek’s headline riders, she’s a rider the team relies on for the biggest races of the season.
A classic all-rounder, Longo Borghini has won everything from the Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix, to the overall at the Women’s Tour and stages at the Giro d'Italia Donne. Though primarily seen as a one-day racer, her climbing and stage racing abilities have only been improving in recent seasons, so don’t be surprised to see her up there on the climbs or on the overall of races like the Tour de France Femmes. Whatever the terrain, Longo Borghini is a racer who will always be amongst the action, whether that’s doing a job for her Trek teammates or attacking for herself.
