Tim Wellens

Tim Wellens spent the majority of his career at Lotto Soudal before signing a two-year deal with UAE Team Emirates at the start of 2022. The veteran Belgian rider has a strong one-day pedigree but has also excelled in week-long stage races throughout his time in the top ranks of the sport.

Wellens has two Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España stage wins to his name and has triumphed at the Tour de Pologne and Ruta del Sol. At UAE Team Emirate, he has formed a strong relationship with Tour de France contender Tadej Pogačar and has been given key roles in several one-day races.

Wellens won two races during his first season with UAE Team Emirates in 2023, and is expected to build his 2024 around supporting Pogačar.
