Brodie Chapman

Brodie Chapman (Lidl-Trek) is an example of a rider who came relatively late to professional cycling, but has climbed to the highest levels in just a few years. After signing for TIBCO-SVB in 2018 - where she soon had top results in races like the Colorado Classic and the Tour of California - Chapman went on to spend three years at FDJ-SUEZ before joining Lidl-Trek for 2023, where she remains for 2024.

A strong all-rounder and clever road captain, Chapman has spent much of her career in the support of others, and is often praised as one of the best teammates in the peloton, whether that was helping Marta Cavalli at the Giro or Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig in the Classics.

Her time at Lidl-Trek has seen her continue in a road captain role, but also take more opportunities for herself. It was in her very first race for her new team in January 2023 when she broke away solo in the Australian national championships to claim her first green and gold jersey.

Injury in the spring slightly derailed Chapman's 2023, but she worked as a domestique through the summer and will be looking forward to a chance at an unhampered Classics campaign in 2024.
