Lucinda Brand

Lucinda Brand (Lidl-Trek) is a rider who reminds us that it’s certainly not only Marianne Vos who can mix disciplines and be impressive in all of them. Brand has had a long career on the road, but is also a very decorated cyclo-cross rider, taking over 50 race wins as well as world, European and national titles.

On the road, 34-year-old Brand has been racing since 2008, riding for teams such as Rabobank-Liv, Sunweb and most recently Lidl-Trek. Owing to her cyclo-cross pedigree, Brand is a strong Classics rider, but is also a surprisingly good climber and GC contender, winning races such as the Tour of Scandinavia and the mountainous Tour de Suisse in her time, as well as the mountains jersey at the Giro d'Italia Women.
