With all the best riders from the National Cycling League in attendance, the competition was hot to claim prestigious victories in the men’s and women’s races.

Given their remarkable rise in recent seasons and their international recognition, 

 headed into Littleton with the pre-race favourites, but of course such a star-studded startlist would not allow them to have everything their own way.
