Cofidis have yet to pick up a win between both sides so far in 2024
Cofidis, one of the longest-standing title sponsors in professional cycling, has extended its commitment to its men's, women's and paracycling teams through 2028, which will bring its tenure with the men’s French WorldTeam to 32 years.
Having already been signed to title sponsorship through 2025, the consumer credit company has agreed a deal to continue sponsoring all three teams for a further three seasons, with its ambitions outlined as getting closer to the top 10 in the men’s WorldTour and having its women’s outfit promoted to the Women’s WorldTour. The next cycle of promotion and relegation is at the end of 2025.
“There is a history and a strong internal attachment between Cofidis and cycling that makes our teams proud. From the beginning, our values have echoed those of this sport. Following in the path of our riders, cycling is a reality for many of our employees, whether in commuting or leisure,” said Gilles Sauret, president of Cofidis Group.
“We regularly notice the enthusiasm the riders arouse in the company, as was the case during the two stage victories experienced in the last Tour de France. By renewing our commitment, we are committed to continuing this story, which is now part of the history of our brand.”
Whilst the Cofidis women’s team is in only its third season of competition, the men’s WorldTeam has been active since 1997 and is one of cycling’s most historic teams. A former home to stars such as Bobby Julich, Frank Vandenbroucke and David Millar, the team has also championed its domestic talents, with Nacer Bouhanni and Victor Lafay two of their more recent leaders.
Famously, after Sylvain Chavanel’s Tour de France stage victory in 2008, the team endured a 15-year drought at the biggest race of the season, before Lafay and Ion Izagirre both won stages at last year’s Tour.

“This start of the season does not live up to our expectations but I want to thank the whole team for their commitment to each of the races. I am convinced that like this extension, good news and successes will quickly return. Having visibility until 2028 is an opportunity to build in the long term, retain riders and strengthen our team,” said general manager Cédric Vasseur.
