The Continental GP 5000. The long-awaited replacement to the GP 4000! It’s been 12 years in the making and Continental reckons the new GP 5000 has the following improvements over the GP 4000 - 12% lower rolling resistance which is attributed to an improved black chilli compound and higher 330tpi (thread per inch carcass), 20% better puncture protection thanks to an improved Vectran breaker.

This week, we're also discussing the lifespan of rim brakes and whether they will soon be extinct on new bikes. We talked to the MD of Vision/FSA whilst in Taipei to see his opinion on the subject.
