Tech Extra: New Road Bike Tech At The 2017 Taipei Cycle Show

New and exciting tech from the first big bike show of the year, The Taipei Bike Show.
New bits of tech we've seen include a new lower priced powermeter from FSA who have teamed up with power2max to produce a powermeter on the market for €650!

A new product offering is "Super compact chainsets", these feature 48/32 chainrings are being adopted for use by gravel riders, bikepackers etc.

Simon gets a glimpse of the new Shimano powermeter too, which will have more information for follow in another video very soon.

CeramicSpeed have managed to save even more watts, a fully optimised drivetrain from them saves between 11-16 watts, which is simply incredible. As well as there hollow titanium 3d printed pulley wheels!

DT Swiss introduce some new models of wheels including the ERC 1100 DICUT DB47's which are designed with endurance cycling in mind and have a 19mm internal rim width and feature an aero-hub too! Also from DT Swiss are the PR1400 DICUT OXIC which is an aluminum wheel featuring a hardwearing braking surface, and just 1400g a pair.

TRP have recently won an award for the TT specific hydraulic disc brakes and Simon takes a close look at these show-stoppers!

Topeak have a new pump, the Twin Turbo. Which makes light work of inflating your tyres! Simon even won a mug by giving it a go!
